Spanish Abarca is known for their very comfortable and sustainably made espadrilles. Here is a lovely blue version of their classic model Camping, which has a cotton canvas upper. A shoe that is of course best during the summer, you can easily put it on and take it off, and it's naturally cool and comfortable.
The insole has a soft, cushioning natural latex bottom covered with vegetable-tanned leather. The sole base is made of jute using traditional techniques, with a natural rubber outsole that provides good grip and durability.
Abarca makes its espadrilles by hand in Murcia, Spain. All materials are sourced mostly from local producers, and all are organic, for the smallest possible carbon footprint. It also allows them to have very strict quality requirements for their materials. Abarca's sustainable approach has made them famous around the world, where you can find them at over 400 retailers.

Use Saphir Medaille d'Or Super Invulner for waterproofing (protection against moist and dirt), and brush off with a shoe brush after use to remove dirt from the canvas upper and jute sole. If more thorough cleaning is required, use Saphir Medaille d'Or Omninettoyant.
